This school is about 17km east from Gorkha District Headquarter and is about 30km north from Dhading-Benighat Bazzar (Prithvi Highway).
(b) History
This school was formally established in Jestha 14th 2017 (1960AD) with the Name of Shree AdarshaJiban Primary School by the joint effort of contemporary local educationists, Social workers and parents of this V.D.C. During it infancy the classes were run under the cottage made of local bamboo hut and kattus leaves (a kind of tree like chestnut tree). But one year later a small building of stone-mud built in 2018 BS. As the time passed, the school changed to be a lower secondary school in 2027 BS (1970AD) with the help of donation given by the local people. Then after 10 years later the school was promoted to be a secondary school in 2036 BS (1979 AD) and It started to conduct secondary level classes. In 2039 (1982 AD), a big building was made with the economic support of contemporary District Panchayat and labour of local people. After that different constructive works have been done in the school premise. In 2067(2010 AD), this school got affiliation from Higher Secondary Education Board and has been running higher secondary level programme in two streams viz : Education and Management with excellent result every year. Since last 10 years, this school has earned the fame of being one of the renowned government aided school of Gorkha.
(c) Socio-Economic condition
There are different caste and creed people living in NamjungV.D.C. Mostly Brahmins, Chhetris, Newars, Gurungs, Magars and minority groups such as Barams, Majhi, Bishowkarma, Damai (Pariyar), Sarki People live here. There are about 892 houses with the population of 5000 live here. Most of the people here are farmers (about 80%). They can hardly produce food crops which is enough only for six months, And others have been involved in different occupations and professions. This is the only one school that provides the education facility from Nursery to class twelve.
2. Educational Aspect
This school has been able to produce skilled human resource in different fields. It has provided a strong background to produce doctors, engineers, journalists, professors and high government officials. The product of this school are not only involved in different prestigious level of Nepal, but also have been working as renowned professors in different famous universities of Europe and America. Recently we have made an attempt to impart quality education through 'English' as main language of instructional activities. We think our children will be able to compete with the products of private schools which has been a great threat for government aided schools. Consequently we have run English medium classes from ECD up to class 7. It will be upgraded up to class twelve in the days to come.
